DIY ring / earring box

I love upcycling- also know as ‘the creative reuse of garbage and unwanted or un-used items into new things’. If i could make it a career, thats what i would do.

For this project you will need a box, hand towel, scrap of material, and glue.

This box was the packaging of a watch. The material is an old skirt that I no longer used but loved the material so it had been sitting in my sewing box for a while. The hand towel doesnt need to be new since you will be covering it.

No exact measurement was used here. I trimmed as i went.

I glued a square of material on the inside if the lid to make it look neater. I ran out of the spray glue so used the kids stick glue instead which worked a treat.

Cut the edges off the hand towel & fold it to look like this.

I used a scrap piece of plain black silky type material. Use a credit card to push the material between the grooves.

Ta daa!

You now have a cute little ring box or earring box that is unique and cost you nothing. Plus you are helping to reduce landfill. Go you!
